Several regular readers have pointed out that I don't talk much on my blog about my personal life. Perhaps it's just my humility that has kept me from talking about myself more. To address this, I thought I should put together a list of some of my favorite things. So here we go...
favorite person: me
favorite family: mine
favorite college: the one I attended
favorite sports team: the one from my hometown
favorite city: the one I live in
favorite country: the United States
favorite planet: the earth
favorite star: the sun
favorite galaxy: the Milky Way
favorite universe: the one I'm in

Haha, still not giving many details away I see :-)
In all seriousness though, I don't think the lack of personal details detracts from this blog at all though. For us readers what is important are your ideas on how to live, not the (possibly trivial for us) personal details about you.
I have a question. Why do you blog? Is it primarily for yourself, as a way to get your thoughts out? Is it as a way to put your ideas into the battleground that is the world wide web? Is it for the hope of changing people's lives? Or a combination of the above? (Maybe you could do a post about it....) Would you still blog just as happily without any readers?

Great question. Thanks for forcing me to think about it. Most of my posts are intended to help others think about how they should be living, and to encourage comments that will help me figure out how I should be living. (Admittedly, I do occasionally post things that are off topic, random or just plain silly. And sometimes I try to be simultaneously silly and profound, as in today's post.) I wouldn't post if I knew there would be no readers, but I do understand that my subject matter and the way I approach it likely won't have widespread appeal, and I'm fine with that. However, ultimately I will judge my life by the magnitude of the impact I have, so it's more likely that if I ever do anything truly important, it probably won't be this blog itself, but it might grow out of something posted on this blog. So keep the comments coming...
