Over the next five years, I intend to figure out How to Live. This will leave me plenty of time to live the rest of my life with that knowledge, and to help others.
How to Live seems to me the most important question a person can ask and answer, and yet most people live their entire lives without seriously exploring the question. I believe that most of the world is asleep. I used to be asleep too, but have been gradually waking up over the last several years and it has dramatically enriched my life.
I believe that I'm about halfway to an answer to the question of How to Live. I think I have a lot to teach others, but also a lot left to learn. The sole purpose of this site is, with your help, to collectively discover How to Live. I have no other agenda.
Before we get started, one vital warning. I do NOT think that this journey is appropriate for everyone, or indeed, for most people. Knowledge acquisition tends to be a largely irreversible process, and to the rational mind, irreversibility demands a higher level of decision-making confidence. If you are not prepared to question all of your beliefs and probably change many of them, I would strongly encourage you to proceed no further. If you are unsure, I would encourage you to wait, both to give you more time to decide and to give me more time to develop a process which helps you decide.

Although these two quotes are only rough approximations of the truth, they capture the spirit of my inquiry very well. If you agree with them, you are more likely to derive value from, and be able to contribute to, this project than if you don't.
Although I'm currently only able to devote a few hours a week to this site, I expect to eventually be able to devote a significant amount of time to it. I encourage you to subscribe to the blog.
